Goldcoast Carrot Relish

1 doz. onions
1 doz. carrots
8 green bell peppers
2 med. heads cabbage
1/3 c. salt
3 pts. vinegar
6 c. sugar
1 tbsp. celery seed
1 tbsp. mustard seed

Grind vegetables through a food chopper. Add salt; let stand for 3 hours, then drain. Mix vinegar, sugar, celery seed and mustard seed. Boil these ingredients for 5 minutes and let cool. Stir into well drained vegetables. Fill pint jars and seal.
