Chinese-style Stir-fried Vegetables

2 tb Sesame or olive oil
1 Clove garlic; finely chopped OR 1/2 ts Garlic powder
3 c Vegetables*
1/2 c Bamboo shoots
2 tb Soy sauce

*Sliced summer squash or zucchini, sliced mushrooms, sliced celery, small cauliflower florets, sliced green beans, green or red pepper strips, sliced cabbage, sliced radishes, or sliced scallions. Should be 3 cups TOTAL of any mixture of the above.

Heat the oil in a wok or large frying pan. Add the vegetables and the garlic, and quickly stir-fry them until just barely tender. Stir in the soy sauce and serve.
